Single people have it made!?

Last week I was at church and I saw a lot of people that I graduated from high school with in 1997. Many of the alumni are in the hometown for the 10 year reunion, which I am not attending because I feel they are a bunch of BS. Anyway what I noticed was a little shocking. Out of all the people I recognized, 9 out of 10 of them were married and had a baby or a pregnant wife. I thought my life was moving along slowly, career-wise and education-wise along with the fact that I still live at home and never had a girlfriend, heck, I haven't even had my first kiss yet. I never felt more lucky than I did today. I have no responsibilities except myself and the world is my oyster, unlike these young married couples. Don't get me wrong, marriage is a good thing and so is having kids. I am just glad I didn't do this way too early like these people did. Being single has allowed me to work full time and work on my masters degree. Anyone else have similar epiphanies?
