Why do so many people get a kick out of bashing coldplay ?

i have mixed feelings about coldplay, and i'll tell you why. i almost pity them in the sense i don't believe their fans have enough appreciation for the music they create. pull any fourteen year old off the sidewalk and she'll tell you her favorite artists are hannah montana and coldplay. where's the appreciation in that? they've been ...invaded. and that is angering.
