Why are texans SO arrogant?

I understand that it is not ALL Texans, but I have never seen so many state logos on random everyday products. The people I met seemed to have no concept that a world existed outside of "the best damn state in the union". And I know it can't be the size of the state, cause they've got nothin on Alaska.
