Why do people ume that Depression makes you irrational?

Depends what kind of depression. I've had it since 1986 and psychosis since 2003. I just long to be normal so not a burden. For some the reality is they can't sustain a job for 10 days without being sacked. I would like to have a romantic overview but my cirstances dictate that I need more personal responsibility in keeping it real.
